Serta Mattress

Serta Mattress Sleep Levels:

Comfort Level
The feeling you get when you first lie down on a mattress comes from the foams and fibers used in the upholstery layers above the innerspring. In Serta® mattresses, these special fibers and responsive, body-conforming foams are designed to ease pressure points along the body. This reduces tossing and turning, and gives you a better night’s sleep.

Innerspring Level
The innerspring provides the support characteristics of the mattress, and Serta makes its innersprings from double-tempered steel coils. The “Coil Count”– or number of coils in a mattress- varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Of course, it also depends on size of the mattress. (In other words, twin mattresses will have fewer coils, while queens and kings will have more).

For matters of comparison, actual coil count is generally based on a queen-size mattress. The coil count and wire thickness (or gauge) will determine how much support the innerspring offers, and its ability to evenly distribute weight.

When you compare Serta’s coil count and wire gauge with competitive brands, you’ll notice several significant differences. Serta’s unique innerspring consists of rows of wire coils that run from head to toe along the life of the body. Because the coil rows run head-to-toe, they respond to each sleeper individually and help reduce partner movement.

Foundation Level
The foundation is the “base” of the sleep set and works in unison with the mattress to provide proper support and durability. The foundation is designed to complement the performance of the mattress. Purchasing just the mattress or foundation alone reduces the overall durability of the set.

Serta’s Perfect Sleeper has a new StabL-Base Double Beam Foundation that provides consistent support across the bottom of the mattress and lasting durability to the entire sleep set. Its unique V-shaped construction isolates the impact of one sleep partner’s movements on the other. Serta’s patented Double Beam design delivers durability and strength from the ground up– and is more than twice as strong as traditional wood frames.
